- For measuring the expansion in volume of edible oils and fats over a temperature range within which melting takes place
- Dilatometer body is graduated with an arbitrary scale, from 0 - 0.9ml
- Graduated at every 0.005ml with clear figures every 0.05ml
- Chamber is filled with oil or fat and the meniscus should be settled on zero when the stopper is in place at starting temperature
