Pestles have a specially designed fit with microtubes to optimize the efficiency of protein and DNA pellet resuspensions and soft tissue grinding. Pestle shafts are strong enough for use with a motorized mixer but can also be operated manually for more shear-sensitive samples. Pestles and microtubes are ideal for cell and tissue culture sample preparation.

Microtubes are available in 0.5mL and 1.5mL sizes and feature a positive seal, “snap-cap” design to allow for multiple opening and closing cycles. Tubes have molded graduations and frosted, sidewall marking spots as well as flat, frosted caps for additional labeling. Caps are also pierceable via syringe needle.

Microtubes and pestles are individually bagged and then over-bagged in quantities of 100 each. Lot control numbers with material traceability on outer carton are included.

Ergonomic motor also relieves "finger fatigue" when processing large numbers of samples.
